Econo Lodge Williamsburg Historic Area

We were in a bind at midnight, having a reservation at another place fall through. I called and spoke to Kevin, who answered quickly and told us we could still check in despite the front desk being closed. We got there and Kevin checked us in quickly. The room wasn't extraordinary or anything, but it was clean and large enough for two adults and two teens to spend the night. This ain't luxury, but it's a solid choice at a reasonable price.

This was an excellent hotel. Little hidden gem in the heart of Williamsburg. Clean rooms, friendly host. Very quiet. In the heart of historic center. 5 minutes away from all the parks and historic activities. Location is great. Stayed for 2 nights. I would come back and stay here again.

Less than Zero Stars At all cost DO NOT STAY at this lodge. I stayed there on a brief business trip as I had a meeting within walking distance. I called ahead and arraigned a noon check out so my girlfriend would have a place to wait for me. She went out for a coffee returning before 10:30. Returned to find a man in our room with the beds striped. She protested and he told her to see the office. The manager said her car was gone and shrugged his shoulders. Now the room and amenities. The bed was like a piece of wood. The heating system was so loud it awoke us every time it turned on. About ever 20 minutes. The bathroom had peeling and missing paint from ceiling to floor with piles of pubic hair behind the door. The non working ice machine is next to a vending machine which sold 4 oz of water for a dollar. Save you $49 plus tax and sleep in your car before wasting it on this hotel. Look for my complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce on Monday March 7, 2022.

I slept like a baby at the Econo lodge. The price was perfect and it’s 10 min to Busch gardens!

May 2024. Clean, good Wi-Fi, good AC, good beds, good TV. Poor hot water; no hot water at all on last day. Rude housekeeper pounds on our door, ignoring the “do not disturb” sign, at 10am and asks if we’re checking out.

The location and the extremely affordable price of the room pull this rating up to a 4. The rooms are decent enough. Beds are hard as a rock, but the shower had hot water and strong pressure through the different shower head settings. Did find two bugs during my 4 night stay, but it was $60/night, so you can only complain so much. Wi-Fi was good for 3 of the 4 nights. If you're just looking for a place to lay your head on vacation, this is a bargain. If you're the type to spend copious amounts of time in your hotel while traveling, this isn't going to be it.

This was probably one of the absolutely cleanest places I've ever stayed in! While it was an Econolodge, and rates were cheap, it was cosy, comfortable, and met all our needs. It was tucked away in a semi-secluded spot so you felt you were away from all the busyness. The owners/managers were very kind and accommodating. I would recommend it!

Reasonably priced for a Saturday night in this area! The gentleman at the front desk was so very nice, and helpful! The room is CLEAN and comfortable. I don't know why some other reviews are bad, maybe people want perfection Don't be afraid to stay here! I don't normally write reviews, but after reading some of the very negative comments I felt I should!
